My daughter is trying to decide where she is going to go to college. Most of the colleges she is looking at are close to home, but she is also looking at a few in New York. She is interested in fashion design and apparently there are some really good schools in New York for her major. My parents own a second home in New York close to one of the schools my daughter wants to go to. They have offered to let her live there and then she would not have to pay rent. I know that rent in New York can be really expensive, so this would save us a lot of money. My only concern is that she would be living by herself and I don’t know how safe that is. I talked to my parents about possibly installing a security system if she moves to their house. I went online and searched “Total Alarm Systems” to show them what the options are for security systems. They said they would be happy to install one if my daughter moves up there. Now we will just have to wait and see if she gets accepted.
